Prayer Focus Day 11
14 Days of Prayer and Fasting
Grace for Difficult Days
Thursday - Day 11
Difficult days do not change who our Father is! He will give us grace for the shadows of death and for the fearful places we have to walk through. As you pray today, see in your spirit the picture of the Shepherd guiding the sheep through the most treacherous terrain. Then allow faith to fill your heart and do not allow fear to drain your confidence in your Heavenly Shepherd.
Let Him lead you and follow even if you can’t see what is ahead…
Verses to Pray and Meditate on:
Psalm 23:4a(NKJV) Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil;
Psalm 126:3-5(NLT) Yes, the Lord has done amazing things for us! What joy! Restore our fortunes, Lord, as streams renew the desert. Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy.
Colossians 1:9-12(NLT) “So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better. We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy, always thanking the Father. He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to his people, who live in the light.”
1 John 5:14(NKJV) This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.
Prayer Focus:
Psalm 5:11-12(CEV) Let all who run to you for protection always sing joyful songs. Provide shelter for those who truly love you and let them rejoice. Our Lord, you bless those who live right, and you shield them with your kindness.
Nahum 1:7(NCV) The Lord is good, giving protection in times of trouble. He knows who trusts in him.
2 Samuel 22:2-4(NLT) The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety. He is my refuge, my savior, the one who saves me from violence. I called on the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and he saved me from my enemies.
Psalm 118:8(CEV) It is better to trust the Lord for protection than to trust anyone else.
