Tuesday – September 26, 2017 – Worship Has to do With Your Heart
1 Chronicles 28:9 (NLT) “And Solomon, my son, learn to know the God of your ancestors intimately. Worship and serve him with your whole heart and a willing mind. For the Lord sees every heart and knows every plan and thought. If you seek him, you will find him. But if you forsake him, he will reject you forever.
When the Bible talks about your heart, it is talking about your entire being. It is comforting to realize that you can intimately know God with your entire being. The better you know Him the more you will want to worship Him and the more He becomes your ultimate value. The reason you can know Him intimately is because He first knew you. God knows you so intimately that He knows your plans and thoughts. It would be scary to think that God knows you that well if it wasn’t for Jesus. On the other hand, because of Jesus it is a comforting to know that He knows you so well.
It takes a seeking heart to be able to worship God. However, the only reason that you can seek God is because He first sought you. Remember that Jesus came to seek and to save the lost. Because of Jesus, you are no longer lost you have been found.
Worship God with your all of your heart.
