Prayer Focus Day 10

14 Days of Prayer and Fasting
Trusting His Restoring Grace
Wednesday  - Day 10

Our focus today is to allow the Holy Spirit to bring restoration to our hearts and minds. We want to let the Lord Jesus reveal to us that only He can bring the restoration and rest our soul requires.

Pray for God’s covering grace in our lives, over our children, our youth as well as those who lead us. God desires to be our Rock and our Shelter and he tells us to go to Him for protection. So how do you go to God for protection and covering? Very simply, we go to God through prayer. So let’s ask God for His divine protection over our families, our kids, our fellow believers and even over those who so willingly and faithful serve us in our communities. Pray for those who God has called to lead us, especially our spiritual leaders.

Pray that God would keep them from harm and that he would grant them wisdom and lead them away from temptation. Pray that God would give them the wisdom to lead and for you to become “lead-able”, because the Bible says it will be for your benefit!

Verses to Pray and Meditate on:
Psalm 23:3(NKJV) He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.

Romans 12:1-2(NLT) And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think (renewing your mind). Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

Isaiah 38:16(NLT) Lord, your discipline is good, for it leads to life and health. You restore my health and allow me to live!

Psalm 91:1-4(NLT) Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the LORD: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; He is my God, and I trust him. For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection.

Prayer Focus:
  • Ask God to hide us from the affects of the enemy in our lives and our culture.
  • Ask God to shelter us from evil influence and harm.
  • Ask God to give rest to our elderly.
  • Ask God to protect our minds and bring vitality and peace to our souls.
  • Ask the Lord to help those who struggle with mental health and if you struggle, let the Holy Spirit bring peace to your soul.
  • Ask God to grant us wisdom in making good and godly decisions.
  • Ask God to encourage Christians to provide prayer covering for one another and for all in authority.
  • Ask God to give refuge to people and leaders who are under spiritual attack.
  • Ask God to lead our spiritual leaders away from temptation.

Purpose to spend daily time in prayer and the Word this week and encourage those who lead you, by praying for them, knowing that they must give an account for you!

Ezra 8:21-23(NLT) And there by the Ahava Canal, I gave orders for all of us to fast and humble ourselves before our God. We prayed that he would give us a safe journey and protect us, our children, and our goods as we traveled. For I was ashamed to ask the king for soldiers and horsemen to accompany us and protect us from enemies along the way. After all, we had told the king, “Our God’s hand of protection is on all who worship him, but his fierce anger rages against those who abandon him.” So we fasted and earnestly prayed that our God would take care of us, and he heard our prayer.

Psalm 57:1-3(NCV) Be merciful to me, God; be merciful to me because I come to you for protection. Let me hide under the shadow of your wings until the trouble has passed. I cry out to God Most High, to the God who does everything for me. He sends help from heaven and saves me. He punishes those who chase me. Selah God sends me his love and truth.
